Statement of Philosophy
STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
FGP Moreton Inc. is a Christ-centred, community focussed not-for-profit early learning provider.
We advocate for all children, no matter where they live in Queensland or what their circumstances, to have access to a quality, inclusive early childhood education.
We exist to help rural remote communities reach their educational, employment and health potential to build a strong future of physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. We commit to seeking God’s in our decision making.
FGP Moreton Inc. centres provide high-quality education and care in an environment based on Christian values, that is child-led and full of joy. We strive to develop our curriculum through a collaborative process which includes children, families, educators, the environment, and the community, and is informed by approved Learning Frameworks. We respect the natural and man-made environment and aim to cultivate sustainable living practices.
We recognise the right of each child, especially First Nations children, to be included and valued, and we embrace the learning available to us from diverse cultural backgrounds. We are committed to developing cultural competence to promote understanding, communication, and equity. We respect the rich history of the land our centres stand upon, the custodians, and the knowledge they hold to pass on to us.
We recognise the generous support the community gives us. We feel connected to our communities, and we want our communities to connect with us. We are actively involved in local events and wider community special days.
We work alongside families to give each child a great start in life to improve their life chances and reach their full potential.
We are committed to improving staff health and wellbeing. Management and staff work together with mutual respect and learn from each other, recognising each other’s strengths and skills and providing support when needed. FGP Moreton Inc. educators are passionate life-long learners who understand the complexities of living in remote rural communities.
We deliver quality early learning for outback children in a culturally safe, inclusive environment based on the Christian values of grace, faith, hope, love, and service.
